We Will Never Be the Same those of earth with musky skin shall eat the soil and live on land. those of sky pure and white will be graceful. the clouds leave them feathery, light. those of earth shall be grounded and never see sky. their eyes will dim without the light of the sky people. blindly they will follow long hollowed tunnels forever shrouded by night.and day will glow for those of sky however they shall learn nothing.they will not see past the soil for they know no better and can only look up at themselves.We Will Never Be the Same by ~doodlez22

the stars cry
silver streaming fish
into lakes, rivers
where they shall sink,
settle as sand
the grains mean more than diamonds
twisting between my fingers

as i wrinkle
sand, sharp, unforgiving
carves away my mind
for underneath the waves
the sea is
dark, merciless
i roll, tumbling
beneath the surface
as life passes me by

to show me under the glow of the day,
away from the night of the sea
